Here's a little poem which appeared in the June issue of the Canadian Journal of Words on Paper:
Lunch Date
make a little
sandwich
just for you
get yourself
a crust of bread,
salami,
cheese,
mayonnaise
bother with
one crisp lettuce leaf
bag it
with cold beer,
crisp chips,
a chocolate bar
take it
to the sun,
out of doors.
if you’re going to the grave alone
might as well make
a friend of yourself
first
